Section 55(2) in Bombay Primary Education Act, 1947
(2)The officer holding such an enquiry shall have the powers of a Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (V of 1908), to take evidence and to compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents for the purposes of the enquiry.
