Section 8(1)(r) in ICFAI University Act, 2003

(r)to prescribe such courses for bachelor Degree, post graduate, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science Degrees and Research which would be covered by UGC and AICTE but University shall have right to start diplomas, certificates etc. in its own subjects;
