Section 67(1) in The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
(1)If the petitioner fails to appear on the date fixed for hearing or if in the opinion of the Gram Panchayat he shows negligence in prosecuting his suit, the Gram Panchayat may dismiss the suit unless the defendant admits all or any part of the claim, when it shall be decreed accordingly.
