133. Power of the Corporation to readjust income and expenditure during the year.
(1)If at any time during the year it appears to the Corporation that, notwithstanding any reduction of budget-grant under section 132, the money at the credit of the Municipal Fund during the same year will not suffice to meet the expenditure sanctioned in the budget estimate of that year, it shall be incumbent on the Corporation forthwith to take any measure which it may consider necessary for adjusting the expenditure to the income during the year.(2)For the purpose of sub-section (1), the Corporation may either diminish the sanctioned expenditure of the year, so far as it may be possible so to do with due regard, to all the requirements of this Act or have recourse to supplementary taxation or to an increase in the taxes, surcharges, cesses and fees leviable under this Act or adopt all or any of those methods.
