- A meter reading card/pass book shall be maintained by the licensee at consumers' premises in appropriate form and all periodical readings taken for billing purposes, all check readings and meter changes should be recorded on the meter card /pass book.The consumer shall ensure safe custody of such pass book/meter card and keep it in an easily accessible place for recording the meter readings and meter charge particulars etc.
