111. Rent under certain contracts of tenancy not to be affected.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in Sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Cochin Verumpattamdars Act, VIII of 1118, the pattam payable by a verumpattamdar, to whom the provisions of the said Sub-section applied, for the period subsequent to the 1st day of Chingom, 1124, till the date of commencement of this Act, shall only be the amount payable immediately before the commencement of the said Verumpattamdars Act, whether or not such contract was renewed after such commencement.
