- The annual statistics of educational institutions and the annual report on public instruction are collected and compiled by financial year. The Government of India allow the Director seven months from the close of the financial year to collect and compile the annual statistics of educational institutions which the Director is required to furnish direct to the General Ministry of Education by the 31st October, every year. The annual report is drafted immediately after the submission of the annual statistics of educational institutions by the Director to the Government of India. A copy of the report after its approval by the State Government is furnished by the Director direct to the Government of India in the Ministry of Education. The entire report (containing the statistical tables, the appendices and the Director's report), is printed and published by the Direction under the authority of Government.(i)Government of India's letter no.
