85. Effect of non-payment of certified amount.
- Where a person from whom an amount is certified to be due under sub-section (1) of section 81 is a member of the Corporation or of a committee thereof or is an officer or employee of the Corporation and where such person has not paid such amount within three months from the date of such certificate, or where an amount declared to be due from such person under clause (a) or clause (b) of section 82 has not been paid by such person within such period, not less than three months from the date of such declaration, as may be allowed to him under section 83, such person shall be deemed to have vacated his seat or to have been dismissed from the service of the Corporation, as the case may be, with effect from the date of an order to be made by the State Government in this behalf and shall not be eligible for re-election or re-appointment, as the case may be, until the amount as aforesaid has been paid by him.
