1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra State Reservation (of seats for admission in educational institutions in the State and for appointments or posts in the public services under the State) for Educationally and Socially Backward Category (ESBC) Act, 2014.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9th July 2014.
