34. [ Apportionment of compensation or net value in case of dispute. [Inserted by Punjab Act, 23 of 1959.]
(1)The amount of compensation payable under this Act shall be assessed, so far as practicable, in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894).(2)[ Where there is dispute in respect of the apportionment of -(a)the amount of compensation determined under sub-section (2) of section 15, or sub-section (4) of section 17 ;(b)the net value realised under sub-section 4 of section 23 ;(c)the total amount of compensation determined under sub-section (2) of section 26,the Consolidation Officer shall refer the dispute to the decision of the Civil Court and deposit the amount of compensation or net value, as the case may be, in the court and thereupon the provisions of sections 33, 53 and 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, (1 of 1894) shall, so far may be, apply.]]
