Section 2(37)(a) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965

(a)"private market" means a market which is not a municipal market, but does not include a market established for the purposes of any law for the time being in force regulating the marketing of agricultural and other produce in such markets;
