Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to
issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to amend the
shipping bills mentioned in the petitioner's representation dated
02.03.2022 from free shipping bills to MEIS shipping bills and
consequently direct the 2nd respondent to sanction the benefits under the
Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS) in terms Chapter 3 of
the Foreign Trade Police 2015-2020 within a time bound manner and
pass such other orders.

2. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, by dispensing with the requirement of filing of counter on behalf of the respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed. This Court directs the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders based on the representation filed by the petitioner on 02.03.2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state before passing such order the petitioner shall be heard. No costs.
