Section 2(k) in The Maharashtra District Planning Committees (Constitution and Functions) Act, 1998
(k)"Scheduled Tribes" means such castes, races or tribes or parts of or, groups within such castes, races or tribes as are deemed to be the Scheduled Castes in relation to the State of Maharashtra under article 341 of the Constitution;
