- In jails, where there are two or more Medical Officers, their duties shall be so arranged by the Medical Officer that the work is fairly distributed, and that one or other of them shall be always present.Note. - The Medical Officer or the Additional Medical Officer on duty should visit the hospital frequently at night when any prisoner is seriously ill and he must be prepared at all times to attend when his services are called for.
