Section 7(1) in The Gujarat Medical Council Act, 1967
(1)A person shall be disqualified for being elected or nominated as, for continuing as, a member,-(a)if he is an undischarged insolvent;(b)if he of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court;(c)if his name has been removed from the register and has not been reentered therein; or(d)if he is a whole-time officer or servant of the Council.
