(2)If a member of the Selection Committee is unable to attend, he may send his opinion in writing to the Vice-Chancellor and such opinion shall be taken into consideration by the Selection Committee in making its recommendation.Explanation. - For the purpose of this section, the co-opted members shall be deemed to be members of the Selection Committee for the purpose for which they are co-opted.
