(2)The State Dam Safety Organisation, for the purpose of enabling it to make decisions compatible with public safety, shall make or cause to be made such investigations and shall gather or cause to be gathered such data as may be required for proper review and study of the various features of the design, construction, repair and enlargement of dams, reservoirs and appurtenant structures under their jurisdiction.
