Section 38(5) in Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973
(5)Except as provided by this Act, the Management of an associated college shall be free to manage and control the affairs of the college and be responsible for its maintenance and upkeep. The Principal of ever)' such college shall be responsible for the discipline of its students and for the superintendence and control over its staff.
