Section 17(i) in U.P. Irrigation Department Research Supervisors Service Rules, 1982
(i)Suppose, in a service appointment is made both by direct recruitment (D) and by promotion (P) in the ratio of 75 : 25 and in a particular year, there are 20 vacancies, in such a case, fifteen vacancies will go to the direct recruits and five vacancies to promotees. After the selections are made the Combined Select List shall be prepared in the following cyclic order :
