11. [ Number of chaukidars to be determined by the District Magistrate. [Substituted by Bengal Act 1 of 1892.]
- The District Magistrate shall determine the number of chaukidars to be employed in a village:Provided that, [* * *], there shall not be more than one chaukidar for over sixty houses.
