Section 37(v) in The Statutes of the Punjabi University
(v)It a category 'C' employee overstays his leave or remains absent without leave, he shall forfeit all his salary during the time of his absence and if he overstays or remains absent without leave for more than one week his post shall be liable to be declared vacant and he shall be liable to pay salary in lieu of notice period.
