Section 53 in Sardar Patel University Act, 1955

53. Election to be by the system of proportional representation.

- Every election to any authority of the University made under this Act shall be made by the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote by ballot in such manner as may be prescribed by Statutes:Provided that no vote shall be recorded by post or by proxy.
