Section 20(1) in Assam Co-Operative Societies Act, 2007
(1)The Board may admit a person for membership in accordance with the procedure laid down in the bye-laws within sixty days from the date of receipt of application for membership if he is eligible for membership under Section 18 or refuse admission to the applicant if he is not eligible for membership under Section 19 and communicate the same to the applicant by post or by hand.
