Section 2(4) in Tamil Nadu Minor Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Rules, 1965
(4)"Tahsildar" means the Tahsildar of the taluk having jurisdiction over the area and includes an Independent Deputy Tahsildar or any other officer of the rank of Tahsildar specially appointed in this behalf by the District Collector.
