The Rules of this Chapter regulating the procedure for the conduct and disposal of application under Section 256 and appeals under Section 260-A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 shall, so far as may be apply mutatis mutahdis to the proceedings under Section 64 of the Estate Duty Act, 1953 (Act XXXIV of 1953), Section 27 of the Wealth Tax Act, 1957 (Act XXVII of 1957), Section 130 of the Customs Act, 1962, Section 35-G of the Central Excise Act, 1944, Section 82-B of the Gold (Control) Act, 1968 with such modifications and adaptations as the Chief Justice may prescribe.
