Section 10(15) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Building Rules, 1972
(15)Every person, who constructs a dwelling house or other domestic building, shall cause every external wall and every main wall to be built, unless otherwise specified by the executive authority, of at least the thickness specified in Appendix-G. The thickness specified in Appendix-G shall apply only to walls built in horizontal loads or courses of good whole bricks or of suitable stones or other blocks or hard and incombustible material.
