Section 29(5) in The Insurance Regulatory And Development Authority (Conditions Of Service Of Officers And Other Employees) Regulations, 2000
(5)No officer and other employee shall take active part in politics or in any political demonstration, or stand for election as a member of a municipal council, district authority or any other local body or any legislative body while remaining in the service of the Authority.
