Section 60(1) in Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2011
(1)The Syndicate may on the recommendation of the Academic Council withdraw any distinction, degree, diploma or privilege conferred on or granted to, any person by a resolution passed by a majority of the total members of the Syndicate and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting at the meeting, if such a person has been found to have obtained such a degree or diploma or certificate-fraudulently or has obtained admission through a false caste certificate.
