Section 2(u) in Khaja Bandanawaz University Act, 2018
(u)"Teacher" means and includes a Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Reader or Lecturer or such other person as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conducting or to guide research in the University or in Constituent Colleges and includes the Principal of Constituent Colleges in conformity with the norms prescribed by the University Grants Commission;
