Section 12(1) in The Maharashtra Agricultural Pests And Diseases Act, 1947
(1)If any insect pest, plant disease or noxious weed appears in any village adjoining a notified area, the village officers of such village shall forthwith report the fact to the Collector or such other officer as the State Government may appoint in this behalf.
