- Subject to such conditions as may be prescribed by or under the provisions of this Act, the Syndicate may make Ordinances to provide for all or any of the following matters:(i)conditions under which students shall be admitted to courses of studies for degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions;(ii)conditions governing the appointment and the duties of examiners;(iii)conduct of examinations;(iv)recognition of teachers of the University;(v)conditions of residence, conduct and discipline of students of the University;(vi)recognition of hostels;(vii)inspection of affiliated colleges, recognised institutions, approved institutions and hostels;(viii)rules to be observed and enforced by colleges and recognised institutions and approved institutions in respect of transfer of students;(ix)mode of execution of contracts or agreements for, or on behalf of, the University;(x)matters which by this Act or the Statutes are to be or may be provided for by the Ordinances; and(xi)generally all matters for which provision is, in the opinion of the Syndicate, necessary for the exercise of the powers conferred or the performance of the duties imposed upon the Syndicate by this Act or the Statutes.
