Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and learned counsel for the informant.

The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 342, 307, 326/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is stated that this petitioner alongwith other co-accused persons assaulted the informant and her husband. It is also alleged that this petitioner and others threw acid and some inflammable substance on the body of the informant.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the allegation of throwing acid is absolutely false as there is nothing in the case diary to suggest that there was any acid attack.

Learned counsel appearing for the informant opposes the prayer for bail and submits that this petitioner and one Munilal Kalindi assaulted the informant and the prayer for bail of said Munilal Kalindi has been rejected by a coordinate Bench of this Court. However, he, after going through the case diary, submits that there is no sign of any acid attack and the Doctor has not found any injury of acid attack on the informant.

In view of the fact that there is no acid attack on the informant, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, petitioner namely, Parsuram Kalindi is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Seraikella in connection with Seraikella P.S. Case No. 56 of 2017 [G.R. No. 375/2017].
