7. These powers shall be exercised within the circle or division, as the case may be, to which an officer is posted from time to time.
Powers under section 71(c) of the Indian Forest Act, 1878, can be given to Forest Officers not below the rank of Assistant Conservator of Forests or Extra Assistant Conservator of Forests by name with the sanction of the Punjab Government, provided that such officers are in charge of a Forest Division.
