1. We have heard the parties at considerable length.
However, in the midst of hearing, we have been informed by Ms. Lata Patne, learned counsel appearing for one set of respondents to the fact that Special Leave Petition (C) No. 012219 of 2017 and Special Leave Petition (C) C. C. No. 025125 of 2016 are pending before the Supreme Court. We have been further informed that the issues raised in such SLPs are substantially the same of which we are seized. It also appears from the information downloaded from the website of the Supreme Court that the said SLPs are likely to be listed on 22nd April 2022.
2. Mr. Singh, Additional Solicitor General for the petitioners does not dispute that the petitions of which the Supreme Court is in seisin involve similar issues that we are tasked to decide in this group of writ petitions and that the decision on such SLPs could put a quietus to such issues.
3. In such view of the matter, we are of the opinion that it would be appropriate to await the decision of the Supreme Court on the said SLPs.
4. Hearing stands adjourned for the present with liberty to the parties to mention the writ petitions after 22 nd April 2022.
5. Mr. Singh, however, referring to contempt petitions initiated before the Tribunal seeks interim relief. Ms. Patne, Ms. Nadar and Mr. Jadhav, learned counsel representing the 11
903. WP 2760-21 & connected matters different sets of respondents undertake that so long as these writ petitions are disposed of, the proceedings in contempt shall not be pressed before the Tribunal. The undertaking is accepted.
