(2)Every contract for the execution of any work or the supply of any materials or goods which will involve an expenditure exceeding [fifty thousand rupees] [Substituted 'five thousand' by Act No. 23 of 2008, dated 18.9.2008.] shall be in writing, and shall be sealed.
