Section 24(1) in U.P. Prison Administration and Reforms Department Ministerial, Stenographer and Co-Related Service Rules, 2007
(1)Notwithstanding any provision in the Fundamental Rules to the contrary, a person on probation, if he is not already in permanent Government Service, shall be allowed his first increment in the same scale when he has completed one year of satisfactory service, has passed departmental examination and undergone joining, where prescribed, and second increment after two years service when he has completed the probationary period and is also confirmed.
