PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India
praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent
to
grant permission at the time of festival of Christhuva Serbin festival to
conduct lighting Kabadi at 6 PM to 6 AM i.e., on 08.07.2017 at about 6.00 PM
to 6.00 AM on 09.07.2017 (one day) at the Village of private land at
Keelauppurani Village, Pathamadai, Thirunelveli District on the basis of
petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2017 and to give necessary Police
Protection to the said lighting Kabadi programme.

:ORDER  

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Kabadi programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 17.06.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 17.06.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
