Section 841(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)An officer shall not ordinarily be retired as physically unfit until the effect of granting him prolonged leave has been found to do him no good. (See S. R. 219 of the Fundamental Rules and Appendix 8, Bengal Service Rules, Part I.)
