The petitioner is employed as Senior Lab Assistant. Her grievance is that her request for being governed by old pension scheme is not being redressed. Legal notice dated 15.10.2016 (Annexure P-3) has been issued in this regard but no action has been taken thereupon till date.

Ms. Maloo Chahal, AAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Let three copies of the complete paper book be supplied to her during the course of the day.
In view of the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek written statement.
The petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2, to objectively consider the legal notice dated 15.10.2016(Annexure P-3) and pass a speaking order thereupon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
