(2)The Compensation Officer shall exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred or imposed upon him by or under this Act or the rules framed thereunder.[Provided that every such order shall have effect in relation to a forest land from such date as may be specified by the State Government in this behalf.] [Inserted by U.P.
