Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide the electricity connection to petitioner house bearing door No.2,  2nd cross street,  Sivanthi Avenue,  Nergundram Village, Chennai 600 107 comprised in S No.197/2 in Patta  No.10645  Plot No.2, admeasuring  598 sq.ft based on the application dated 16/04/2016 made by the petitioner.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.C.B.Muralikrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Raameshuwar, learned Standing Counsel, accepting notice on behalf of respondent. By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to provide the electricity connection to petitioner house bearing door No.2, 2nd cross street, Sivanthi Avenue, Nergundram Village, Chennai 600 107, comprised in S No.197/2 in Patta No.10645 Plot No.2, admeasuring 598 sq.ft based on the application dated 16/04/2016 made by the petitioner.

3.Though the petitioners seek for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the petitoner on instructions submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied, if representation submitted by him dated 14.6.2016 is directed to be considered.

4.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Board submits that reasonable time may be granted to the respondent to consider the representation.

5.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.6.2016, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
