Section 16(2)(b) in Multi-Storeyed and Public Buildings Rules, 1973

(b)There shall be at least two separate exits as remote from each other as practicable for each room, hall or place of assembly, with a capacity of 600 persons, at least three separate exits when the capacity is between 601 to 1,000, at least four separate exits when the capacity is over 1000:
