If any person—(a)contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or any rule made thereunder; or(b)to whom a direction is given or a requisition is made under this Act fails to comply with the direction or requisition,he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
