Section 265 in The West Bengal Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989
265. Periodical test of taxi-meters.
- Every taxi meter shall, at the end of each period of six months (the first of such periods commencing from the date of the test referred to in rule 264 of these rules) be submitted to a test similar to that prescribed by that rule :Provided that every taxi-meter shall at any time, if so required by the Registering Authority, be submitted to it for the purpose of undergoing such test or any portion thereof.
