Section 22(3) in Tamil Nadu Land Improvement Schemes Act, 1959
(3)Any amount payable under the proviso to clause (a) of sub-section (1) or under sub-section (2) shall, at the option of the person liable to pay it, be paid either in a lump sum or with interest at such rate as may be prescribed, in equated annual instalments not exceeding twenty in number:Provided that where a person who elects to pay in instalments, commits default in the payment of any instalment, the entire unpaid balance shall become immediately payable.
