Section 12C(1) in Himachal Pradesh University Act, 1970
(1)The Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University, shall take rank next to the Chancellor and shall exercise general supervision and control over the affairs of the University, and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at the meetings of the Court and any convocation of the University.
