9. Division of cash balance of the existing Council.
- The cash balances (whether in the form of cash or securities) held by the existing Council immediately before the appointed day, shall, after deducting all the liabilities of the existing Council up to that date (including the liability in respect of any Provident Fund), be apportioned between the Council established for the Bombay area of the State of Gujarat and the Council established for the Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra in the ratio of 33-69:66:31.
