Section 26(1) in The Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :-(a)the admission of students, the courses of study and fees therefore, the qualifications pertaining to degrees, diplomas, certificates and other courses, the conditions for the grant of fellowships awards and the like;(b)the conduct of examinations, including the terms and conditions and appointment of examiners;(c)the management of Colleges admitted to the privileges of the University; and(d)any other matter which by this Act or the Statutes is to be or may be, provided for by the Ordinances.
