:ORDER		

The petitioner is seeking for a Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction three increments for possession of Ph.D degree since 2002.

2. It is admitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that no representation has been made to the respondents sofar seeking for sanctioning of increments, before filling in this Writ Petition. Needless to state that before approaching this Court by way of filing a Writ Petition seeking for a Mandamus, the petitioner ought to have made a representation/demand before the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents also submitted that no representation has been made by the petitioner sofar.

4. When that being the admitted position, I am of the view that the present Writ Petition cannot be entertained without therebeing a demand made by the petitioner to the respondents.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the respondents seeking for increments as claimed by the petitioner in this Writ Petition within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is made, it is for the respondents to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter. No costs.
