Section 170(1) in New Town, Kolkata Development Authority Act, 2007
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act, the State Government may, by an order in writing, remove, with effect from a date to be specified in the order, the Chairman or the Member-Secretary or the members of the Development Authority from his office if, in its opinion, he wilfully omits or refuses to carry out the provisions of this act or of any rules or orders made thereunder or abuses the powers vested in him under this Act.
